Max
When I was in my first year of high school, my family tragically lost my brother to a freak accident while on a camping trip. Less than a year later we almost lost my father in another freak accident. I was at one of the lowest points of my life and I couldn't take it anymore, I just wanted to end my life. As a result of those defining moments was that defining moments I realized I had been given a second chance.
You see, I was actually born in the former Soviet Union. Just days after I was born, I was placed in an orphanage until a loving and caring couple decided to adopt me. The miraculous part is I wasn't supposed to have had this second chance at life. I was born with physical handicaps and the odds of being adopted or even being considered for adoption were impossible. In thinking about all these events, I realized my life mattered. I also realized I had a purpose, and that I could use my life to make a difference.
I met my wife in college. Since then we have worked as youth pastors, worked overseas in Antwerp, Belgium and we are now looking forward to spending the next chapter of our lives in Europe with Convoy of Hope.

I grew up in the heart of Massachusetts in a loving and caring family. We attended a wonderful church in Worcester, MA and it was at that very church where my desire and passion for missions grew even more. I attended my first missions trip when I was just 14 years old and it changed my life forever.
Through the years I have traveled the globe to numerous countries assisting with organizations including OneHope and traveling with my school on a month long trip to Asia.
It was in college where I meet my soon to be husband and from there traveled to West Virginia to serve as youth pastors.
It was during that season where God had called the two of us to serve as Missionary Associates to Antwerp, Belgium. We are now beyond blessed to be heading back to Europe to continue Gods call to reaching the refugees.
Making a difference in Europe
Convoy of Hope is a non-profit humanitarian organization founded in 1994. Convoy of Hope has worked throughout the world in disaster relief, refugee response, women empowerment, rural compassion, feeding initiatives, and much more.
Our involvement in Europe will be that of:
- Refugee response
- Romani People's group involvement (aka Gypsy/Roma)
- Church engagement
- Outreach programs
- Women's empowerment
- Agricultural initiatives
