It's been over 5 months since we've stepped foot in Spain. These past few months have been quite an adventure. We've settled into our new apartment which is just a quick 15 min tram ride to the center. We've been able to register and get our official residency cards. And most important of all, we've started our work with Convoy of Hope.

The move of course hasn't been without its difficulties as well. The holiday season for anyone can be a hard time, especially those who live abroad. Add to it the current pandemic and it can get rough. But thankfully we have modern technology to help with that. It was great to be with our families, even through facetime, Zoom, etc., for the holidays. On top of that, we've been able to make new friends here in the city. So spending time with them, getting to know their culture, and eating alongside them, has been a big plus during this past holiday season.

Convoy of Hope. We were able to start a few programs by the end of 2020. One of which is a rabbit program in Moldova and Bulgaria. We are working with local churches in a number of rural villages to help individuals raise and take care of their own rabbits. They will raise these rabbits for their own food security as well as sharing them with the local community to help other families who don't have food. On top of that, the more rabbits that are born, the more that other families can join in on the program. We also want to add that a lot of these newer families have never been to the local church. So what an awesome opportunity to reach out to them. 

 

Most of our work at the moment is preparing for events, curriculums, projects, etc., for the middle and end of 2021. This of course is all subject to change given the continued Covid pandemic. There are many more things in store for this new year. We hope to implement a number of new agricultural initiatives, outreach programs, community events, and continued refugee response.
